Brighton Museum & Art Gallery

Brighton Museum

Brighton Museum & Art Gallery is one of the country's leading regional museums. In May 2002, transformed by a £10 million redevelopment, it reopened with a complete redisplay of its rich and diverse collections. Exhibits are shown in stimulating contexts with a wide range of interpretative techniques, including the latest interactive information technology.

The Brighton History Centre houses important archival and pictorial material on every aspect of Brighton’s history. It also holds the most significant local history collections in Sussex. Partnerships with the South East Film & Video Archive and the County Record Office provide access to a wealth of audio-visual material and further archival records. The Brighton History Centre is the principal public access point for information on collections in general at Brighton Museum.
