Until February 2011
Kentish Delights is an innovative new programme. It is inspired and led by Tunbridge Wells Museum and Art Gallery and project managed by independent curators, Polly Harknett and Suzie Plumb, with an education and outreach scheme run by Future Creative.
A diverse range of objects from over 30 museums across Kent – from ancient, rare and beautiful artefacts, to intriguing and entertaining items – are touring the county. They are displayed in venues that do not usually host museum objects: supermarkets, football clubs, shopping centres, cinemas and pubs. The items chosen for Kentish Delights tell stories about Kent and highlight what is special and unique about this county. The content of the exhibition, which is complemented by film, a website and events, has been developed in consultation with museums and communities.
